Zilla is a hybrid design. A metal hoop is fitted under the heel that allows you to add or remove an ankle strap to transform your piece from a Mule to a Sandal or the otherway around according to your occasion. Every piece has a beautifully hand stitched embroidery featuring Bedouin motifs that represents different flowers from Sinai.
Zilla is a thorn bush that flowers in spring, It makes great food for camels and the Bedouin use it to make a small tattoos for visitors.
 
This design was created in collaboration with the Sinai Bedouin Products organization, which is lead by a pioneer remarkable woman who encouraged a number of Bedouin women to come together and share their handmade works on a bigger scale than just their villages. When they started, they were only 5 women, now there are more than 400 which made it possible to showcase their products in many exhibitions all over the country.
